Graduate student from Nepal creates waste management venture

Divya Pant, a doctoral candidate in biorenewable systems at Penn State, founded Carbon Away to convert organic waste into energy and fertilizer using anaerobic digestion. The venture installed its first digester in Nepal in July 2022, processing up to 30 tons of waste per day.
